In line with the celebration of the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2018 last August, our class was asked to make a "takeaway poster" from one movie that we chose to watch. We are now going to "critique" the works of the members from the other group, the MEJJA Vlogs group.
How can we tell if the work is exceptional? We will rate the works from 1-10, with 10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest.
Warning: This could be a "brutally honest" critique. Let's start!

Alphons (3/10)
We honestly didn't like the font simply because it doesn't look like it's in harmony with the other fonts, the poster might better if he chose fonts that are of the same type. The picture is not captivating for some of us. One of our members told us that the scene and the quote matches based on the movie, but for the rest of us who didn't get to watch this movie, it didn't look like it, the impact is very lacking in this photo.
The photo used has a low resolution, but we think that it wasn't his fault because it was downloaded first so there might be a possibility that the image has been compressed already. The font color is a bit dull, we thought it could stand out more if he used stronger colors contrasting with the background which he actually did in the name "fiona".
There were empty spaces at the left side of the photo, it wouldn't have looked empty had he cropped the picture and the blank space there. All in all, this poster needs so much improvement but atleast we did see some effort that was put into this work and we whole-heartedly appreciate.

Elizabeth (8/10)
As obviously seen in the picture, there is a grammatical error (believed), the " I saw you" looked like "i sam you" at first glance probably because of the choice of fonts. The last part of the photo looked a bit empty but it paved a way for people to appreciate Sue Ramirez' face.
We didn't like the font style of "love" because it felt off. The poster was aiming for uniqueness and differentiation, in which she achieved so much that it got to a point where there is no consistency with the fonts.
The text is so opaque, the filter of the picture is nice, but the text has been affected maybe because she put the text first before adjusting the photo's opacity without bringing the font forward. We liked the font style at "at first sight".
The title and quotation has the same font size so it made the title look insignificant if it wasn't for the quotation marks.
Overall, the choice of photo is nice because it equally displays each character and the connection with each other. Keep it up!

Jan (4/10)
The first thing we noticed was there were too much elements on the picture, the word "starring" is misspelled and Wynwyn's name is misspelled. We sort of didn't like the "unli life" part and those several logos on the lower part because for it it felt like some of the elements put isn't that significant, it would be better if he just remove the two logos on the lower left corner.
The emphasis wasn't as emphasizing as it should be. He could have thought of other ways to effectively show emphasis on where it should be. The "directed by" could be better if it was at the center, the font color (yellow) is not nice for some parts of the picture, but overall, the quotation font is nice actually and we loved it.
